So, you have adopted your puppy. Now what? The next steps in bringing home your newest family member is one of the most exciting steps in the adoption process and we are here to help! Below you will find four options for arranging the journey home with your new puppy.

By Air

Boxers are considered a "snub-nosed" breed. Because they are classified as such, they must fly accompanied by a companion. Most airlines are accepting of air travel as long as the puppy meets the requirements of the airline and pay the fees for this service. Heritage Boxers will work with you in arranging a flight schedule that fits into your needs and act as a personal flight nanny for this journey. A 3rd party transporter/flight nanny will not be used. Typical expenses include, the round trip cost of a plane ticket, any "carry on pet" fees, and a set a delivery charge. Average cost of this is $1,500. Due to the size of the puppies they will each require their own kennel during travel. *Please note, if airlines cancel/delay flights and a hotel is needed, adoptive families will be issued a reimbursement request for this expense. 
​ This is a fantastic option if you live a distance from us and air travel is the easiest for your schedule.

By Car

Being located just outside of Springfield, Missouri, we are blessed to be within a days drive of several larger cites. Below, you will find a list of the cities we regularly travel to, along with our cost to deliver. If multiple puppies are being delivered to the same city on the same day, adoptive families will share the cost of the expense. We will coordinate schedules ahead of time with our adoptive families to make these arrangements as smooth as possible. Travel will be conducted by Heritage Boxers not a 3rd party transporter.

Visit Us!

Obviously, this is our favorite. We welcome you to come and visit us! At Heritage Boxers, we have done and continue to do our best to create an environment folks can visit, see for themselves and feel welcomed doing so. We would love to help you with your stay as well. Springfield is about 3 hours from Kansas City and St. Louis. In some cases, adoptive families have flown into a local airport, then rented a car to drive back home. SGF Airport is under 30min from our home. Branson is also a wonderful vacation destination, and is an hour away. So feel free to take a road trip!
